We’re looking for a Legal Counsel to join us on our mission to solve chaos in international real estate markets.

We started CASAFARI with a mission to organise the real estate market into an efficient data-powered ecosystem to enable and accelerate deals through a transparent and safe B2B platform. CASAFARI isn’t just another data aggregator: it's an entire operating system that powers real estate agents in real-time, removing asymmetry of knowledge, accelerating transactions and opening up new opportunities for iBuyers, property developers, investors and Q-commerce operators and beyond to reach their investment objectives.


Your Role:

We are in search of an experienced and driven Legal Counsel who thrives in a fast-paced, high-output environment to support our Portfolio Solutions Team. This person must be extremely detail-oriented, able to efficiently juggle and prioritize multiple projects at once, and be adept at providing guidance to clients. Exceptional communication, time management, and organisational skills are necessary to succeed in this role. Top candidates will be well-versed in key legal principles as they pertain to real estate transactions, real property law and contract structure, with the ability to analyse property documents, draft acquisition documents and prepare successful acquisitions.

This role will report to our Head of Real Estate and is located in Madrid, Spain.


Responsibilities:

  • Exercise due diligence on pre-acquisition documents for property transactions;
  • Negotiate, Draft and Proofread terms and conditions of real estate contracts (such as promissory contracts of sale and purchase and deed handling);
  • Work alongside brokers and other real estate professionals for the successful closing of  the real estate operations;
  • Provide legal support by managing, coordinating and attending the signing of property contracts as the Company’s representative;
  • Assist with post-acquisition commodities;
  • Tracking deadlines and managing communication with local authorities (when applicable);
  • Ensure compliance with the applicable laws and regulations in Spain;
  • Draft and prepare all types of legal documents and commercial documentation needed to support new commercial opportunities and existing contracts for the Sourcing & Underwriting Team.


Requirements:

  • Native/Fluent in Spanish and English + Ability to process complex legal concepts in both languages;
  • 3+ years of experience in Real Estate within residential real estate on all aspects of a transaction from conception to completion;
  • Familiarity with legislation and case law within and related to Real Estate in Spain;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law or similar subject;
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and manage workloads to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Self-starter and ability to work with limited direction;
  • Rigorous, impeccable attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Good to have: member of the Spanish Bar.
